300 N25 Dremel Uses

Many consider the Dremel name to be the ultimate versatile multipurpose tool. This hand-held, lightweight line of tools has varying speeds on different models and accessories you can use interchangeably. If you have a home improvement, craft or small repair job, the Dremel 300 N25 can most likely help you complete it.
  1. Cutting

    • There are varying sizes of cutting disks available from Dremel that can be used with the 300 N25. This model comes with a 191 high-speed cutter disk. Simply attach the round cutting disk onto the end of your Dremel tool, secure it in place with the provided tool and turn the tool to your desired speed. The disk will start to rotate and all you need to do is make contact from the outer edge of your cutting disk to the material that you want to cut. Just don't apply excessive pressure because the cutting disk could break. You can also use the 420 emery cut-off wheel or the 426 fiberglass cut-off wheel attachment to slice and cut metal. You can remove rusted bolts or screws with this attachment.

    Sanding

    • The 300 N25 comes with a 430 coarse ¼-inch sanding drum, a 431 coarse ¼-inch sanding band, a 438 ¼-inch 120 grit sanding band and a 412 ¾-inch 220 grit sanding disk. The sanding drums are cylinder sanding bands that sit on top of a mandrel. With these varying sizes and grits of sanding attachments, you should be able to sand down small projects with ease.

    Polishing

    • You will find a 425 emery wheel, 429 large felt wheel accessory and a 421 polishing compound in the 300 N25 package. If you need a material --- such as ferrous metals, stone, glass or ceramics --- polished to a nice shine, use the emery wheel. Use a polishing compound in conjunction with the felt wheel to remove oxidation films and lighten imperfections.

    Grinding

    • Two grinding stones come with the 300 N25: the 952 aluminum oxide grinding stone and the 84922 silicon carbine grinding stone. The aluminum oxide grinding stone is used to grind metals, castings, welded joints, rivets and rusted areas. The silicon carbine grinding stone can be used for grinding and etching stone, glass, ceramics and nonferrous metals.

    Drilling

    • You can use the 150 drill bit that comes with the Dremel 300 N25 or you can purchase any number of drilling tips available from Dremel. The 150 drill bit is 1/8 inch in diameter and is used to drill small holes in wood, soft metals and plastic materials.
