Instructions

    • 1

Slide the hood assembly onto the inner boom and align the holes. There should be about a one inch section of the inner boom extending past the hood mount when the holes are properly aligned.

    • 2

Insert a 1/4-inch-by-1-1/4-inch inch button head bolt into the aligned holes. Slide a washer onto the threaded end and tighten a 1/4-inch lock nut onto the bolt.

    • 3

Slide a hose clamp onto each end of the dust collection hose. Do not tighten the claps. Connect one end of the hose to the hood and connect the other end to the inner boom. Tighten the clamps to secure the hose.

    • 4

Screw a 1/4-inch hex nut onto each of the two eye bolts, place a diagonal brace onto each eye bolt and screw another 1/4-inch hex nut onto each of the two eye bolts. The diagonal braces should be sandwiched between two hex nuts. Adjust the placement of the hex nuts so there is a 3/4-inch space between the bottom hex nut and the end of the bolt.

    • 5

Position the brace mount angling brackets on top of the eye bolts so the holes align with the eyes of the bolts. Insert a 1/4-inch-by-3/4-inch flat-head bolt into each of the aligned holes. Secure each bolt with a washer and hex nut.

    • 6

Insert the extension leg into the upper leg of the boom mount. Adjust the height of the legs to fit the height of the saw table. Insert a lock knob into each of the holes after they are aligned. Twist the lock knobs clockwise to fasten them into place.

    • 7

Position the boom mount channel against the side of the table and align the mounting pin on the boom mount with the center of the saw blade. Once aligned, mark the location of the boom mount on the table with a pencil. Mark the location of each hole. Remove the boom mount from the side of the table.

    • 8

Drill holes into the pencil marks using a drill bit large enough to penetrate the table. Slide a washer onto each screw; depending on the size of the table, the number of screws will vary. Align the holes in the boom mount channel with the drilled holes in the table. Insert a screw into each hole. Insert a washer and a hex nut onto the threaded end of each screw. Tighten them to secure the boom mount channel to the table.

    • 9

Position the straight end of the diagonal braces next to the tabs at the lower end of the boom mount support leg. Loosely secure the diagonal braces with 1/4-inch-by-1/2-inch bolts, washers and hex nuts. Adjust the position of the diagonal braces so they align with the underside of the extension table. Mark the holes with a pencil and drill. Fasten the braces to the underside of the table using bolts, washers and hex nuts.

    • 10

Position the boom/hood assembly over the pivot pins located on the boom mount channel. Keep the boom/hood assembly aligned with the pivot pins and position the arm so it sits above the table. Insert a locking pin into the hole near the pivot pins and turn it to the left to secure the boom/hood assembly.

    • 11

Turn the clamp knob counterclockwise to loosen the boom arm. Position the boom/hood assembly so it is centered above the blade. Turn the clamp knob clockwise to secure the boom arm.
