How to Adjust a Fence for a Dremel Saw

Just like most full-sized table saws, the Dremel mini 4-inch table saw also utilizes a rip fence to help you keep cuts straight. After attaching the Dremel, equipped with a saw blade to the underside of the table, you must adjust the rip fence to cut your wood to the appropriate width. This process is relatively straightforward and intuitive.

Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the Dremel rotary tool from its electrical outlet to prevent the tool from coming on while you adjust the rip fence.

    • 2

Loosen the thumbscrew on the top of the rip fence to release its grip on the table. With the thumbscrew loosened, you can slide the rip fence from the edge of the table to the saw blade. Lift up the blade guard and place the edge of the tape measure against the side of the blade that faces the rip fence.

    • 3

Slide the rip fence to the location on the tape measure that marks your needed location. For example, if you need to cut a 2-inch-wide piece of wood, line up the front edge of the rip fence with the 2-inch mark on the tape measure.

Tighten the thumbscrew on the rip fence to lock it in place.
