How to Remove the Bit on a Dewalt Demo Hammer D25900

The DeWalt D25900 demolition hammer helps break down walls and other obstructions during construction projects using a powerful back-and-forth pounding motion. The D25900 tackles a variety of materials and situations using differently shaped bits. Removing and installing a new bit is designed to be uncomplicated; the entire process takes less than a minute. It's easy to change bits and add a chisel or hammer head mid-project with minimal interruption to the task.

Instructions

    • 1

      Stop and unplug the hammer.

    • 2

Pull the plastic collar where the bit attaches to the hammer toward the back of the tool.

    • 3

Pull out the bit and set it aside. Put a freshly greased replacement into the chuck.

    • 4

Push and rotate the new bit until it locks in place.
