How Do I Adjust an Air Pressure Regulator?

The purpose of an air pressure regulator is to reduce the supply pressure to the proper working pressure. If you have a compressor that supplies 120 PSI and a tool that requires 90 PSI, you would adjust the regulator to reduce the supply pressure by 30 PSI. An air pressure regulator operates within a preset range and it's not possible to adjust it outside of that range. Adjustment within range is easy and takes only a moment.
