Instructions for the Use of the BernzOmatic JT850

Attaching the Fuel Canister

• Stand far away from any source of fire, sparks or extreme heat. Screw a standard 14.1-oz. canister of propane into the valve at the base of the handle of your torch.

Lighting the Torch

• Hold the torch with the nozzle away from you. Turn the small black thumbscrew away from you to open the gas valve and automatically ignite the flame.

Adjusting the Flame

• Increase the size and the intensity of the flame as necessary by turning the valve further toward you (counterclockwise), or make the flame smaller by turning the valve away from you (clockwise).

Finishing Use

• Turn off the valve by turning it away from you until it stops as soon as you have either finished working with the torch or finished your propane cylinder. Unscrew the propane cylinder and store it in a cool, dry place away from fire or flame if any gas remains.

Continuing Use with New Cylinder

• Unscrew the cylinder and dispose of it according to recycling regulations if it is empty. Attach a new cylinder and start the torch again according to the above instructions if you wish to continue working with your BernzOMatic JT850.
