Profile your bullnose edge to define the curvature of the bullnose for the tile. Attach the roughest polishing pad to the variable speed polishing machine. Turn the machine on and use the lowest speed setting while you test a piece. If the machine bogs down or you feel comfortable working more quickly, turn the speed up. Press the pad against the edge of the marble and move the machine along the edge, tilting it and manually adjusting the angle of the pad to define your preferred angle of bullnose edging.
Refine the edge to bring your bullnose to a more defined look and feel. Attach progressively softer pads and continue working your way over the initial bullnosed edge to smooth it out. Apply only slight pressure, and let the pads do the work. Use the lowest speed setting for refining, as you do not want to sand away any more of the marble, merely smooth out the already defined edge.
Polish the bullnose edge of your marble to your preferred level of sheen. The softest pads in the kit are used to create the polished look for your marble granite. However, you may be working with tumbled or honed marble, in which case you don't want an actual sheen, so use an appropriate pad until you achieve your preferred finish. Use as little pressure as possible, and the lowest setting on the polishing machine.
