Place the end of the nail puller drill bit into your drill and tighten it in place by turning the drill chuck in a clockwise fashion until snug.
Plug in your drill, if needed. If you have a cordless drill, proceed to the next step.
Hold the drill in the air so you can see the free end of the nail puller drill bit. Place the drill in normal drilling mode. Engage the drill trigger until the inner section of the nail puller gets to the end of the bit.
Position the end of the nail puller bit flush against the surface from where you want to remove the nail. You will most likely position the drill perpendicular to the wood surface, unless the nail is stick in the wood crooked. The nail should be positioned in the middle of the drill bit end.
Put the drill in reverse drilling mode; you can accomplish by means of a switch or lever you push. Engage the trigger and hold it down as the nail puller bit pulls the nail from the wood surface. Let go of the drill trigger when the nail is completely out of the wood.
Remove the nail from the nail puller drill bit by switching the drill into normal drilling mode and holding the trigger down until the nail falls out of the nail puller.
Repeat on any other nails that need to be removed.
Grab the drill chuck and turn in a counterclockwise direction to remove the drill bit.
