The Best Greenlee Electronic Testers

Greenlee has been in the tool business for over 140 years and have provided the electrical industry with tools since the early 1940s. Their line of electrical tests covers the essential equipment for an electrician. From clamp on meters, multifunction electrical testers, non-contact voltage detectors, to voltage testers.
  1. Multifunction Electrical Tester

    • A multifunction electrical tester tells an electrician a variety of information about the circuit. It does this by connecting two leads; one to the hot wire and one to the neutral wire. The Greenlee GT-540 can measure voltage and resistance for both AC and DC circuits. It has auto-ranging capabilities for quicker measurements. A built in non-contact voltage detector for finding live wires without touching the conductor. An automatic shutoff feature to conserve battery and data capture feature to store information.

    Non-Contact Voltage Detector

    • A non-contact voltage detector finds electricity without directly touching the metal conductors. This assists in creating a safe working environment by letting the operator know which wires are live before they begin working on them. The tester also helps troubleshoot electrical problems by letting the electrician know where the electricity is. The Greenlee GT-15 detects as low as 12 volts in the 50 to 500 Hz range. It uses a bright LED and audible alarm to communicate that it has found electricity. This pen sized device fits easily into pockets and has an on/off switch to conserve power.

    Voltage Tester

    • A voltage tester is used to determine the amount of voltage in a circuit. It does this by connecting two probes to the hot and neutral wires. The Greenlee GT-95 can detect from 19 to 1000 volts at a frequency up to 70 Hz. It is capable of working with both AC and DC voltage and provides the measurement on a LED lit scale. If the tester detects an over-current situation, then you hear an audible alarm.

    Clamp Meter

    • A clamp-on meter is used to measure an electrical circuit without touching the live conductors by wrapping two arms around an insulated section of wire. With this method, the tester tells you the volts, amps and resistance. The Greenlee CMT-90 is able to detect between 0.6 to 600 amps, 1.3 to 999.9 volts, -0.6 to -999.9 resistance. It as a backlit, auto-illumination screen and and auto-off feature for longer battery life.
