     Loosen the collet 698807 assembly nut at the bottom of the Porter Cable plunge router with an open-end wrench by turning the nut counterclockwise.

     Remove the nut and collet assembly from the bottom of the router.

     Insert the new collet assembly into the bottom of the router and tighten the collet by turning the collet nut clockwise with the open-end wrench until it is secure.
