A pneumatic stapler is a power tool that operates using compressed air. A hose is attached to the stapler, which is connected to an air supply such as a compressor. A pneumatic stapler can handle many types of household projects or heavy-duty construction work. However, this highly pressurized tool has several components that will deteriorate after continued use, rendering it inoperable, unless it is properly maintained. Oil the stapler after each use to ensure its longevity. Pneumatic tool oil can be purchased at any home-improvement store or where pneumatic tools are sold.

Run the stapler three to five times, without staples, so the oil travels to the inner parts. You will need to connect the stapler to the air source with the hose to do this.
