CNC Shark Pro Level Instructions

The CNC Shark Pro, manufactured by Rockler, is a medium to heavy duty router made for use with the Rockler line of router tables. The Shark Pro is capable of accurately accomplishing a wide range of projects, including fine and detailed routing cuts. However, the capability of the router is only half the battle in executing a successful series of cuts. The router table itself must be perfectly level in order for routed lengths to match and routed joints to fits squarely rather than skew. With the Rockler line of router tables, leveling is accomplished with a face plate that is attached through the table to the router, eight leveling screws and two lock down bolts.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the CNC Shark Pro router up against the underside of the Rockler table with the router bit sticking up through the center hole in the table.

    • 2

Fit the base plate center hole down over the protruding router bit so that the base plate rests on the surface of the table. Attach the plate to the table and to the router underneath the table with the eight leveling screws and two lock down bolts. Do not tighten the screws or bolts.

    • 3

Place a level across the base plate up against the protruding router bit and slowly adjust each of the eight leveling screws until the base plate is level.

    • 4

Tighten the lock down bolts to hold the base plate in its level position.

    • 5

Recheck and readjust as necessary before each series of cuts, and for each new project to ensure accurate cuts.
