Place the tension room divider in the desired location. Make sure it is lined up evenly with the ceiling and floor. The bottom of the divider should be flat on the floor, and the top of the divider should be flat against the ceiling.
Extend the room divider so the tension rods press against the floor and ceiling.
Adjust both screws in the tension rod with a screwdriver to increase the tension in the room divider. Once you can’t turn the screws anymore, the divider should be secure. There is one screw at the top of the rod and one at the bottom. Each 3-foot-wide room divider panel will have two tension rods. The more panels you have, the more tension rods you will need to secure in place.
