How to Install a Jet Tub on a Concrete Floor That is Not Level

When you want to install any kind of bathtub on a concrete floor that isn't level, the best option is to set the tub in a base of foam, which will conform to the tub's contours. Jet tubs are installed the same as any other kind of bathtub or jacuzzi. After you set the tub and have all of the connections ready, you can put a layer of foam under the base of the tub and then let it dry to create a level base.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the jet tub according to its manufacturer's instructions, with all of the connections and pipes attached. Most jet tubs have pre-manufactured attachments so that you can quickly and easily hook up all of the relevant pipes, hoses and connections with nothing more than common household tools such as pliers and wrenches. Refer to your tub’s guidelines for proper connection methods.

Lift the jet tub off the tub frame. Cover the floor beneath the tub's body completely with a couple inches of spray foam.

    • 3

Set the jet tub on top of the spray foam as well as the tub frame.

    • 4

Fill the entire jet tub with water. Make the tub full with water to simulate the usual weight of water when the jet tub is in use plus the weight of a human body. The weight will push the tub's base into the spray foam and cause the foam to contour to the base. Let the water sit in the tub for at least 48 hours and preferably 72 hours to give the foam time to dry.
