How to Determine the Cost of Remodeling a Garage

Measure the garage space. The size impacts the amount of work and materials you'll need for the remodeling.

Assess the current garage. Determine what you want to change. Consider which areas of the garage work well and which need to be remodeled.

List the major uses for the garage space. This list might include a workshop, area to work on cars, storage and car parking spaces.

Contact a contractor if you plan to have some or all of the garage remodeling completed by someone else. Get estimates on the labor so you can add it into the total garage remodeling costs.
