Places like under the bed, wall-mounted shelves and room dividers can all be used to give you more room to store your belongings and make your place look tidier. Instructions

    • 1

Measure the location where your room divider will be. Make sure you have accurate measurements.

    • 2

Compare prices online for cubed room dividers (see References for examples). They are basically cubes that you can assemble and stack up and use as a room divider. They usually measure a square foot to one and a half square foot. You can store some belongings in each cube such as clothes and magazines.

    • 3

Drive to the store if necessary. Prices can vary when you shop online or in store. You can often find better deals or a wider selection in store. If not, some stores also offer a "site to store" option where you can buy the item online and pick it up at the nearest location.

    • 4

Buy as many cubes as you want and use your hammer to assemble them. They often already come with nails and everything but a hammer for you to assemble. Be sure that you keep the dimension of your room in mind as not to squander money on unnecessary cubes.

    • 5

Stack up the assembled cubes as your room divider, making sure to make the divider stable and not wobbly. You will notice that it might not look like a divider as there are empty spaces. However, you can quickly fill them up with your belongings. Some stores even offer baskets that will fit exactly in the cubes so that you can store sensitive items.

Decorate some of the higher cubes with magazines, photo frames or flower vases. Since you can use them due to height, you can make them look classier or more modern.
