Plug Presser

• The Modular Plug Presser makes connections compatible with different modular plugs. It comes with an ergonomic handle, which helps you control the tool with one hand. This handle is also reversible, allowing both right- and left-handed people to use it. You can easily change out the dies on the plug presser without using a different tool like a screwdriver. You can also strip cable with the plug presser. Other features of the tool include a mechanical stop so that you don't press too hard and a handle ratchet so that you don't release too early. It comes with a lifetime warranty, and it is Federal Communications Commission (FCC) compliant.

Kit

• The Modular Plug Presser Kit features different tools for creating modular connections, including three dies, the Modular Plug Presser and plugs. The plugs included in the set are as follows: non-keyed plugs, handset plugs and solid wire plugs. These plugs are made form fire-proof polycarbonate, and the contacts are made from phosphor-bronze with two microns of gold. The kit also includes numbers 4, 5 and 6 interchangeable dies. The carrying case is made from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic, and the tools are separated by foam-lined sections.

Cutting Tool

• The D Insertion Cutting Tool is a combination presser and cutter designed for the 3M 710 Splicing System Modular for splicing copper. This tool features the P/N 70223 replaceable cutter head, and allows you to hold and cut branch pair (male and female) connectors. The cutting tool comes with rubber coating on the handles to help you control the tool and to prevent slippage even if your hands get wet or sweaty. The tool has the capacity to hold bridge module caps in place.
