How to Look Up an MLS Listing in Missouri

The MLS listing, or multiple listing service, allows homebuyers and real estate agents to easily browse all rentals and properties for sale in an area with one click of a mouse. Whether you're browsing real estate in Kansas City or looking at home values in your St. Louis neighborhood, knowing how to get an MLS listing in Missouri helps you get a snapshot of property value. Getting an MLS listing for a specific property means you'll need to know the address; if you want to see any listings in a town, you don't need an address.

Navigate your web browser to Realter.com. Use the drop-down menu at the left to select a house that's for sale, not for sale, rented, recently sold or newly constructed. Then enter the address of the house in the search bar and search. Alternately, if you have the MLS number of the Missouri house, click on "Search by MLS#" then type the number into the search box.

Go to the Missouri Real Estate MultiList, a state-specific home database (morealestate.net). Select "Search Listings" from the menu on the left, then scroll down the page until you see a search box labeled "Listing Number." Enter the MLS listing number in the search box, then click "Search Using Selected Criteria" to find the house by MLS number. Use this method only if you know the MLS number, since you cannot search by address.
