Instructions

    • 1

Tear up the existing floors. Use a utility knife to cut carpeting and carpet pads into manageable sizes. Remove staples from the floor with needle-nose pliers. Sweep and vacuum the area clean.

    • 2

Install new flooring. Choose from laminate wood, tile or industrial vinyl. Select flooring in natural tones and avoid carpet for easy maintenance.

    • 3

Remove the hardware on your cabinetry throughout the motor-home bus and sand it with high-grit sandpaper. Clean it with a tack cloth and give it a fresh coat of stain. Apply three coats of varnish to protect the wood. Attach new hardware in a silver finish.

    • 4

Paint the walls of your motor-home bus with a paint designed for the wall surface. If your motor-home bus has metal walls, use a paint product designed specifically for metal. If you have panels in your motor-home bus, use a traditional interior paint. Paint the walls a light color to make the interior look airy and bright.

Remove the cushions on your furniture and replace them with patio cushions. Hold the patio cushions in place with self-adhesive hook and loop tape.

    • 6

Put up new draperies. Choose valances in the same colors as your cushions and hang them so the bottom of the valance just reaches the top of the window to make the windows appear larger and allow the maximum amount of light into your motor-home bus. Use sheers under the valances for privacy.
