Set the laminate countertop atop a set of sawhorses with its finished side facing down. If the laminate countertop is already installed, go to Step 2.
Place the template for the undermount sink on the laminate countertop, in the exact position the sink will need to go. Make sure the template is centered directly over, or where, the sink cabinet will be. But leave enough room above the template for the sink faucet.
Tape the template to the laminate countertop with painter's tape.
Cut the hole for the sink into the laminate with a circular saw using the template as your guide.
Remove the template and cut piece of laminate and set them aside. Smooth the inside of the cut hole with medium-grade sandpaper.
Position the undermount sink upside down on top of the countertop if the positioned on sawhorses, or rightside up underneath the countertop if installed, and mark the mounting holes located in the flat lips surrounding the sink with a pen. Then remove the sink.
Predrill the mounting holes to the underside of the laminate. Select a drill bit size that matches the size of the fasteners include with the sink. Then twist the included anchors into the predrilled holes.
Bead silicone caulk all over the top side of the sink's flat lip.
Thread a wing nut over the included sink screws.
Mount the sink, upside down to the countertop if atop the sawhorses, or rightside up below the countertop if installed. Insert the threaded screws into each mounting hole, and tighten them into the anchor with a screwdriver.
Wipe away excess caulk from the countertop and inside of the sink with a moist cloth.
