Open the door below your sink, and place a drip pan below the wall drain pipe to catch any excess water from the pipes.
Loosen the drain cap at the bottom of the PVC drain pipe using an adjustable wrench, then turn the cap counterclockwise to remove it.
Allow for the water in the drain pipe to flush down into the drip pan. Cut out the back end of the PVC drain pipe using a reciprocating saw.
Loosen the slip nut connecting the PVC pipe to the sink drain using an adjustable wrench, then lift out the entire pipe assembly.
Insert a drill with a PVC cutterhead attachment into the remaining wall pipe, and then drill out the remaining PVC part.
Apply PVC cement to a new PVC coupling part on both sides then press on the coupling connector to the wall pipe.
Connect the new PVC drain pipe assembly to the PVC coupling connector, then tighten the coupling with your adjustable wrench.
Connect the top of the PVC drain pipe to the top slip nut of the sink drain, then tighten the nut securely.
Allow water to run through the newly installed drain pipe to make sure there are no more leaks.
