Measuring Angle Cuts on Cabinets

When installing cabinetry, or any wood working project, occasionally you need to measure precise angles. The right tool for this job is called a sliding T-bevel. It consists of two flat sections of metal joined together with a wing nut. By aligning the two arms between the angled wood and the straight surface you can gauge exactly what the angle is. The angle is then transferred onto the wood for cutting with a saw.

Lay a protractor on the solid arm of the sliding T-bevel and read the angle where the slotted arm lines up.
