Danze Kitchen Faucet Installation

You do not need specialized plumbing tools to install your Danze kitchen faucet yourself, since Danze has made installation possible using everyday tools. If you have not installed a sink faucet before, the installation process will take you longer than an experienced installer, but the installation does not involve any special techniques. If you find that any of the connections on your faucet begin leaking after you finish the installation, you must tighten the connections using your screwdriver or adjustable wrench.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the faucet through the holes in the top of your kitchen sink. If the sink has three holes and your faucet is a single piece, place the deck plate over the three holes so the hole in the deck plate lines up with the middle hole. Insert the faucet through the hole in the deck plate and sink.

    • 2

Slide the rubber gasket, metal washer and lock nut onto the faucet connection on the underside of the sink. Line up the holes in the lock nut with the cutouts in the metal washer and gasket, and then drive the included screws through the locknut and into the underside of the faucet.

    • 3

Insert the water hose connection into the underside of the faucet, pushing it into the opening until you hear a click. Pull down on the hose to test if the connection comes undone.

    • 4

Wrap pipe tape clockwise around the threads on the underside of the faucet assembly. Push the ends of the water supply lines through the smaller holes on the underside of the faucet. Tighten the nuts on the ends of the water supply lines to the fittings on the underside of the faucet using an adjustable wrench, stopping once you feel resistance from the nuts.

    • 5

Wrap the pipe tape clockwise around the threads on the water valves' bodies. Attach the water supply lines to the water valves coming out of the wall by inserting the ends into the valve bodies’ openings. Tighten the nuts on the ends of the water supply lines to the openings on the water valves with an adjustable wrench.

Pull the faucet head out of the faucet body, exposing the water supply hose that normally sits obscured inside. Hold the supply hose with one hand while you use the other to turn the faucet head counterclockwise, removing it and the rubber seal from the end of the supply hose. Turn on the faucet’s hot and cold water to flush out the faucet, turn off the water again and replace the seal and faucet head by twisting it clockwise.
