Measure the area for the backsplash. Get the height and width of the area for the backsplash and write this down. You can also hold a sheet of cardboard up to the wall and cut it to fit to make a template.
Cut the backsplash to fit. You can either order the stainless steel backsplash cut to fit, or you can cut it yourself. Work slowly and evenly. Use a pair of metal nippers and trim the backsplash to fit. It helps to lay down a yardstick to get a straight line.
Clean off the wall. Use a degreasing cleaner and thoroughly wipe down the area where the backsplash will go. Let this dry.
Apply an epoxy adhesive to the wall. Draw zig-zag lines with the adhesive over the spot for the backsplash. Do the same thing on the back of the stainless steel.
Fit the backsplash in. Start in the top corner and press the stainless steel into place. Work slowly and press down firmly to get a good grip on the adhesive. Continue until the backsplash is up. Do not get water in the area for six to eight hours to give the adhesive time to cure.
