Step-by-Step Corian Cove Backsplash

Corian Cove backsplashes by DuPont have solid surfaces. They come in a variety of colors, including gray, blue, red and pale green. Corian Cove backsplashes are also nonporous, so they don’t stain readily. With proper cleaning they will stay lovely for years to come. Since a Corian Cove backsplash is one solid piece, it is easier to install than other backsplashes that are broken up into several pieces.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the area where you are installing the backsplash two to three times and write down the exact measurements. When you receive the Corian Cove surface, it will be precut in the size you told the manufacturer, so you need it to be exact.

    • 2

Clean the wall where the backsplash will be installed. Spray an all-purpose cleaner on the wall and wipe it off with a damp sponge. Rinse the area with water and let it dry.

    • 3

Apply the epoxy to the back of the Corian Cove backsplash in evenly spaced lines about 2 inches apart.

    • 4

Apply a line of silicon caulk in the groove where the counter tops and backsplash will meet. Apply about an inch-wide layer of caulk.

    • 5

Set the Corian Cove backsplash into the groove and press it into the wall. Hold the backsplash in place for three to five minutes until the epoxy dries. Wipe off any caulk that has squeezed out of the bottom of the backsplash.
