Measure the length and width on the front surface of the cabinet you want to create a front for.
Cut a rectangle from a 3/4-inch-thick wooden board to the same measurements using a circular saw.
Sand the wooden rectangle using medium-grit sandpaper, making sure that the edges are especially smooth.
Brush off the wooden rectangle using a 3-inch flat paintbrush to remove any dust or debris.
Position the wooden rectangle vertically in front of you. Place a cabinet handle along the right edge of the rectangle, centering the handle 1 inch from the right edge.
Mark the screw holes with a pencil while holding the handle in place, then remove the handle. Drill into the holes using a drill with a 1/8-inch drill bit. Brush any debris out of the holes using the paintbrush.
Hold the cabinet front up to the cabinet, then place the hinges along the left side of the cabinet front. Mark the screw holes with a pencil while holding the hinges in place, then remove the hinges. Drill the holes using a drill with a 1/8-inch drill bit, and brush away any debris.
Paint or stain the cabinet front as you prefer, then allow the medium to dry for at least eight hours.
Place the handle back in place over the drilled holes along the right side, then screw the handle in place using 1/4-inch screws.
Place the cabinet front against the cabinet, then place the hinges in place over the drilled holes. Screw the hinges in place using 1/4-inch screws.
