Measure the existing counter frame, in your home, to determine where you want to place the sink. Measure the width and length and note where the existing plumbing is. Use the sink template that comes with your sink to help determine an appropriate location. The sink must be at least 1¾ inches from the backsplash.
Lay the Corian counter face-down over two padded sawhorses. Clamp them in position so your rig doesn't move.
Measure and mark where you want the sink to go. Draw a pencil line across the width of the Corian where the middle of the sink will be.
Mark 1¾ inches from the back of the counter using a pencil. Draw a straight line that is 1¾ inches from the back of the counter. This is your allowance for screws and clips when installing the sink.
Lay your sink's template on the back of the Corian so the back of the template lines up with the 1¾-inch line. Trace around the template.
Drill a hole inside the template outline with a drill bit that is larger than your jigsaw's blade. This gives you an opening to insert the saw blade.
Cut along the template lines with the jigsaw until you have finished the hole.
Turn the Corian over and set the sink in the hole to see if it fits. If it fits, you are finished. If it doesn't fit, file away any binding areas with a rasp.
