How to Anchor Interior Walls to Concrete Slabs

Anchoring an interior wall on a concrete slab presents a unique challenge for the do-it-yourself homeowner. When building a house on a slab foundation, the exterior walls are secured with special anchor bolts that are installed at the time the foundation is poured. Since great care is taken with foundation layout and form building, these anchors can be placed accurately using the edges of the foundation as a guide. For a number of reasons, this method is impractical for interior walls. Two simple, popular methods are used to anchor interior walls.
