How to Hang Wood Trim Around the Ceiling

Wood trim can instantly transform a room from adequate to a showplace. When wood trim is hung around the joints between the wall and the ceiling, it is referred to as crown molding. It can be purchased in a variety of lengths, with pre-made corners and pre-mitered boards. Once you have your wood trim ready to hang, the process should only take a few hours at most. Make sure you have some extra trim on hand, just in case.

Rough up the surface again and apply one coat of polyurethane. Let this dry. If painting, sand first. Prime the trim and let the primer dry for four hours. Apply one coat of paint over the primer.
