Instructions

    • 1

Put a metal drill bit into an electric drill. Tighten the bit in accordance with the directions in the owner’s manual. Drill holes through the back of the metal cabinet in the locations that you are placing concrete screws. The size of the hole depends upon the size and type of concrete screws that you are using. Follow the recommendations of the concrete screw manufacturer regarding drill bit sizes. Generally, you need at least four concrete screws to secure your cabinets to the wall.

Insert a masonry drill bit into a hammer drill. Use the size of drill bit that's required by the manufacturer of the concrete screw.

    • 3

Place the cabinet in the desired position on the concrete wall. Ask others to help you hold the cabinet in place. Check the cabinet with the level in order to adjust the cabinet.

    • 4

Drill through one of the holes in the back of the cabinet. The masonry drill bit should penetrate into the concrete wall. Make the hole about ¼ inch deeper than the length of the concrete screw. Repeat this procedure for the rest of the holes in the back of the cabinet.

Put a hex-nut driver bit or a Phillips bit in the hammer drill, depending upon the type of screw you are using. Drive a concrete screw into each of the holes in the back of the cabinet. Make sure that the concrete screw goes into the wall until the screw head is firmly attached to the back of the cabinet.
