Get help. The more people you have to help move cinder blocks, the better and faster it will be. Bring along a few friends, or hire some teenagers to help you get them from point A to point B. If you are having trouble locating people to help you move the cinder blocks, find a labor service in your area and ask to hire a few people for the day.
Wear heavy gloves, and use a wheelbarrow or dolly to tote the cinder blocks from wherever they are located to the bed of a pickup truck. Carrying them one by one will tire you out and could take hours.
Bend your legs while lifting the cinder blocks. Wearing a back belt is also a good idea. If you do not take precautions when lifting, you can easily damage your back.
Stack the blocks in rows of five in the back of the pick-up truck, depending on the size of your truck. Make sure that you do not stack them more than five high, as just ten of them will weigh over 100 pounds. This will also make it easier for you and the people helping you to unload them.
Secure the cinder blocks in the pick-up properly with a rope so they do not shift and unbalance the load. Crisscross the rope over the top of the entire load of cinder blocks. Secure the rope tightly, making sure there is no slack at all.
