A suburban town located approximately 15 miles from Washington D.C., Gaithersburg, Maryland is surrounded by parks. Many of them are suited for recreational vehicles and similar mobile homes. The area around Gaithersburg is home to a few mobile home communities that were once called mobile home parks. Mobile home dwellers may be a bit upset to find there are no mobile parks within the Gaithersburg city limits. However; options are available within 10 miles of the town and farther.

The park has power and water with plenty of room for recreational vehicles or RVs. The campground is located north approximately 9 miles north of Gaithersburg by way of Interstate 270 North.

    Mobile Home Community

    • The only mobile home community near Gaithersburg is the Middlebrook Mobile Home Park (no website; 19515 Frederick Rd, Germantown, MD 20876). The community accommodates manufactured homes. There are 194 spaces in the community, according to the Mobile home Park Store. The community is located just over 3 miles north of Gaithersburg on Maryland State Road 355.

    More Than 10 Miles Away

    • Cherry Hill Park (cherryhillpark.com) is a place for RVs and similar mobile homes. It is located 13 miles north of Gaithersburg, and is considered the closest mobile home park for RVs to Washington D.C. The area has room for more than 400 RV and camping sites. It isn't completely wooded, offering pools, golf, a store and arcade, and even transport to the Capitol.
