Tear the gun down with the right set of hex wrenches for your model. Set the pieces of the different sub-assemblies in separate piles to make reassembly easier when you are finished with repairs.
Clean each piece of the nail gun using a new rag, making sure to wipe away any dirt or metal shavings.
Inspect the pieces, looking for damage, and replace internal parts as necessary. In particular, look for splits or cracking in the drive pin assembly.
Reassemble the gun, and attach an air hose. Listen for any air bleeding from the seals. If everything sound fine, place some lubricant in the gun as specified by your model.
