A new home houses many strong odors immediately after the home is built. Everything from curing concrete to floor adhesive can create smells in the house. One of the strongest smells people have to contend with is fresh paint. Some of these smells are merely annoying, while others could be somewhat toxic, so it is important to air out the house effectively before everyone moves in.

- Onions
- Vinegar
- Air conditioner

Open all the windows in the house to get a stream of air moving. If you have screen doors, open the doors as well to get even more air movement.
