How do I Heat an Outbuilding With a Rechargeable Battery?
Outbuildings often lack a connection to the main building's power supply. If there are materials housed in the outbuilding that are susceptible to freezing, it may be necessary to add a heater to the building. If the outbuilding lacks an electrical system, an electric heater may be used if it is plugged into a power inverter connected to a rechargeable battery (such as a deep-cycle lead-acid battery).
Things You'll Need
Power inverter (minimum 1750 Watts continuous power)
Lead-acid battery
Electric heater (power not exceeding 1500 Watts)

Instructions
1
Attach the red (positive) lead of the inverter to the positive terminal on the battery. Attach the black (negative) inverter lead to the negative terminal on the battery.
2
Turn on the power inverter. Allow the power inverter to charge up for approximately 30 seconds.
3
Plug the heater into the power inverter's electrical outlet. Turn on the heater and set the heater to the lowest setting that will sufficiently warm the room.
