      Take reusable shopping bags to the shops. Reuse plastic bags to line small trash bins.

      Cut up old clothes, worn socks, and towels. Use them for cleaning and polishing household items.

      Pass on your toddlers' clothes to family and friends, or give to charity . Buy baby clothes and needs from 2nd hand shops or charity shops as they are always like new but for a much lower price.

      House plants can help put oxygen back into your atmosphere, and they are beautiful. So clean indoor air with plants.

      Save on gas costs by following speed limit. Carpool/carshare with someone if possible, or use public transportation.

      Having a shower usually uses about 1/3 of the water you would have in a bath. Install simple flow regulator in the shower head can limit the water amount used to just below nine 2.25 gallons per minute.

      Nearly 40% household water is used in flushing the toilet. Try either to fit something in your cistern to limit the water flushed away or restrict the number of times you flush .
