Remove all of the furniture from the room.
Put on rubber gloves and goggles.
Apply the floor stripper to the floor according to the manufacturer's instructions. Mop the floor stripper onto a 10-square-foot section of the floor. Allow the stripper to dissolve the sealant for 10 minutes or for as long as the product's manufacturer recommends. Agitate the stripper with a floor machine and scrubbing pad and then mop up the floor stripper with clean water. Use a mop and bucket or the suction function if your floor machine has one available. Repeat section by section until the entire floor is stripped.
Mop the floor with fresh water to remove any residual stripping agent.
Apply a strip of painter's tape to the wall just above the tile.
Stir the stain thoroughly. Pour a portion of it into a plastic container, if you do not intend to use the entire supply.
Tape off a row of tile. Apply two long strips of painter's tape to either side of the row to cover the grout.
Dip a rag or brush into the stain. Apply a layer of stain to the tile. As you near the uncovered grout edges, hold a piece of cardboard over the grout to protect it.
Repeat steps seven and eight until the entire tile floor is restained.
Let the floor cure overnight or for the amount of time recommended by the manufacturer.
Apply a fresh coat of sealer to the floor with a long-handle paint roller.
Apply two to three fresh coats of wax or polish to the floor.
