Get the correct molding for the space. For transition to ceramic tile, Pergo produces hard surface reducers and four-in-one moldings. You could mix and match the pieces in the four-in-one molding kit to match your needs. Other manufacturers also produce transition moldings that coordinate well with Pergo flooring.
Measure the length of the area where the Pergo flooring meets the ceramic tile flooring. This is often the length of the doorway between the two spaces.
Cut the molding to the length you measured in the previous step. Use a handsaw or an electric saw.
Lay the metal and plastic tracks on the subfloor in the gap between the Pergo flooring and the ceramic tile flooring. Try placing the molding on the track to check the height of the finished molding. One side of the molding should sit on the Pergo flooring and the other side should fit snugly against the ceramic tiles. You could adjust the height of the molding by removing the plastic track or by changing the direction of the two tracks.
Screw the metal and plastic tracks to the subfloor when you are satisfied with the positioning of the molding. Press the molding into the track.
