What Paint to Use on Mondo Rubber Floors

General Information

• Mondo rubber flooring is available in a variety of colors, textures and patterns. The color schemes typically consist of milder tones, with shades of blue, green, brown and rust red. Patterns include a wave, bubble or daisy design. Since Mondo floors are made from rubber, they are 100-percent recyclable.

Polyurethane Paint

• Paint that contains a polyurethane finish can be used on Mondo rubber flooring. This type of paint is often used in gyms and other places to make team logos and can cover floorings such as rubber, PVC and hardwood. The paint is formed with a neutral base and then tinted to the color of your choice. This type of paint will provide ample coverage and durability to add to the life span of your Mondo rubber floors.

Spray Paint

• Spray paint can also be used in conjunction with rubber flooring. This type of paint provides the benefit of getting into the inside of the rubber flooring material, rather than just coating a layer over the top of the flooring.

Tire Paint

• Another option is to use tire paint. Tire paint is available in a pre-mixed format or a concentrate that you need to dilute with water. You can roll it on or use a spray system. • If you want to change the look of your Mondo rubber flooring, you have other options besides painting. Mondo flooring is available in embossed or matte designs. You can add this look by embossing the flooring yourself or by applying a rubber-stamping technique on the floors.
