Set up the new woodstove in the desired location according to the manufacturer's specifications, making certain the code required clearances are correct.
Install the first chimney pipe section over the woodstove's chimney flange, making certain it is vertically plumb, then use a plumb bob or level to mark the center point of the chimney pipe on the ceiling surface.
Layout and install the chimney's ceiling box, if required, following the manufacturer's specifications. The ceiling box should be centered on the chimney pipe center point established in Step 2.
Cut the hole for the chimney pipe's roof penetration and install the roof flashing provided with the chimney system according to the manufacturer's specifications, making certain to maintain the necessary alignment with the wood stove location.
Begin assembly of the chimney pipe sections by aligning the extruded locking pins of the first pipe section attached to the wood stove flange in Step 2 with the second pipe section's L-shaped groove, then slide the sleeve portion of the pipe over the first section and, holding the first section, twist the second section clockwise to lock the two sections together. Note that the second chimney pipe section typically has a flue installed to keep the flue's adjustment handle within reach.
Repeat Step 5 to assemble the chimney pipe sections in order, locking each section to the adjoining section using the protruding tabs into the L-shaped groove in each connection. Continue the assembly of the sections, feeding the chimney sections through the ceiling box installed in Step 3, if required, and the roof flashing installed in Step 4. The required height of the chimney pipe will be determined by code requirements based on roof slope. Taller chimney assemblies may require support wires.
Install the chimney cap to the top of the chimney piping according to the manufacturer's specifications to complete the chimney assembly.
