Osburn Manufacturing is a British Columbia-based manufacturing company that specializes in making wood stoves, pellet stoves and fireplaces. Osburn fireplaces are prefabricated, wood-burning insert-style fireplaces that are designed to fit into existing fireplace cavities in the home. Osburn gas fireplace inserts are equipped for fast hookup to existing natural gas outlets. These modern fireplace inserts come in a variety of different styles. Installation takes between one to two hours.

Instructions

  Inspect the fireplace area beforehand to make sure it is clean, and check to make sure the flue is open and clear.

  Hold the overlay up to the front of the fireplace insert door, insert the retaining screws and tighten them with a Phillips screwdriver.

  Lay the faceplate panels, finished side down, on a soft surface, and attach the corners with corner brackets and mounting hardware included in the set.

  Slide the faceplate panel down over the front of the insert, and secure them to the insert with U-shaped clamps.

  Connect the insert's ignitor hose to the gas supply line inside the fireplace with a pipe wrench.

  Slide the insert into the fireplace cavity.
