Staple felt paper to the entire subsurface of your roof. Snap chalk lines every 10 feet along the roof, running from ridge to eaves, to help align the roofing panels when you install them.
Install the eave trim, screwing it into position with washered wood screws every 2 feet.
Set a panel of 5V galvanized tin roof sheeting in the lower downwind corner of the roof, using a level and measuring tape in combination with the chalk lines to ensure that it is square. The panel should be perfectly aligned with the gable but overhang the eave trim by at least an inch.
Screw the panel into place, driving a washered screw every 2 feet in vertical rows on either side of each crimp. Install the next panel the same way, setting it just above the first one with a 4-inch overlap. Continue until you reach the ridge, using a metal cutter to trim the uppermost panel to size.
Begin the next column of sheeting, placing the first panel at the bottom edge of the roof just upwind of the first column. The U-shaped double crimp at the edge of the sheet should fit over the V-shaped double crimp on the first one, with a strip of butyl tape between them for an adhesion seal. Install panels to the entire roof this way, one column at a time.
Run a strip of butyl tape along the eave edges of the roof and install the eave trim, screwing it into place every 2 feet. Place a foam closure strip on the upper edge of the roof on both sides of the ridge and install the ridge trim to finish, again placing a screw every 2 feet.
