How do I Heat Another Room With Direct Vent?

If you want to increase the airflow from one room to another to provide more heat in another room in your home, you might consider installing a direct vent. Warm air can get trapped under the floorboards between a first and second floor. You can cut a space for a new floor vent to release the warm air upwards into your living space. This will permit airflow to the room above to heat the room more efficiently.

Place the floor vent on your floor where you want the vent installed. Draw around the edges of the vent with a pencil to mark where the hole will be cut.
