How to Kill a Watt AC Power Monitor

Kill a Watt meters are devices used to monitor the amount of electricity appliances use in day to day applications. All appliances come with manufacturer labeled power consumption level stickers, but most appliances only run occasionally to perform their required actions. These meters let you know exactly how many volts, amps and ultimately watts each appliance plugged into it uses. This is helpful when performing a home energy audit, or before sizing a renewable energy system for a particular structure.
