Position the baseboard hot water heating system adjacent to your hot water line.
Turn off the water to your house before making any plumbing connections.
Cut a section of copper tubing 3 inches long to run from the hot water source to the copper tubing in the baseboard unit.
Use the stud finder and pencil to find and mark the studs behind the wall.
Use the measuring tape to mark 3 inches from the bottom of the wall. Position the backing for the baseboard casing so they are 3 inches off the floor. Nail the casing to the wall with the hammer and nails, positioning the nails where the studs are located. Hammer a nail through the casing into every other stud.
Insert the copper loop heating element that came with the unit into the casing you nailed to the wall.
Place the heating elements into the casing and connect them to the copper tubing and elbows with the couplings and channel lock pliers. Use the soldering iron and solder to seal the connections. Place a heat pad behind the copper pipes as you apply the solder and melt it to the tubing with the soldering iron. This will protect your floor and wall from the heat.
Connect the end of the copper tubing to the hot water pipe using the coupling and tighten with the channel lock pliers. Solder the coupling to the tubing with the solder, soldering iron and protect the surrounding areas with the heat pad.
Turn on the hot water and check for any leaks.
