How to Look up a LEED AP on the GBCI Website

In 2000, the U.S. Green Building Council introduced Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) to promote and endorse environmentally friendly and sustainable practices in construction. LEED provides certification for individual projects and accreditation for building professionals, the latter now administered by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Recognized throughout the United States and internationally, the LEED system allows a LEED-accredited professional (LEED AP)to assure residential and business clients of his green credentials. The GBCI maintains a directory of LEED professionals, enabling the public to research an advisor before engaging him.

Open an Internet browser. Navigate to the GBCI website.
