How to Soften a Driveway

Driveways and garages can dominate the view of a house. Landscaping softens the appearance of the pavement and draws attention to the house. The colors and textures of lawns and plants affects the perception of paving. Trees moderate driveways by casting shade and shadow, reducing glare and creating intriguing patterns; they can screen undesirable views and highlight appealing ones, adding to the curb appeal of the home. Trees are the backbone of the home's landscape design, and will offset the harshness of pavement while increasing the value of the property.
