How to Seal Pavers/Concrete on a Driveway or Pool Deck

Clear out everything from the area to be sealed. Remove vehicles from the driveway and patio furniture from the pool deck.

Sweep your driveway or pool deck with a broom to remove dirt and leaves.

Pressure-wash the driveway or pool deck thoroughly. Allow to dry overnight.

Mix 1 qt. Xylene for every 2 1/2 gallons of sealant you will be using in a large bucket. The Xylene thins the liquid down and allows for this first coat to get into every crevice and dry quickly.

Apply a thin, even layer of the mixture evenly with the paint roller. Allow to dry overnight.

Apply a thin, second coat of sealant evenly to the area with the paint roller; this time do not use Xylene. This second coat helps to lock the sealer in and gives a sealed driveway or pool deck a sheen. Allow to dry for 48 hours.
