How to Patch a Crack in an Asphalt Driveway

Asphalt is a commonly used building material for driveway construction, as it is durable and usually less expensive than other driveway materials. For a number of reasons, ranging from extreme weather conditions to heavy traffic, asphalt can wear and crack. It is best to repair cracks as soon as they appear to prevent spreading and expansion. Asphalt crack repair has been made very simple with the development of asphalt fillers that can be purchased at just about every home improvement center.
