How to Seal a Stencil Concrete Driveway

Sealing your stenciled driveway can provide that protection, preserving the look of the pattern through the normal wear and tear of use and the elements. Applying the sealant to the driveway is a quick process, often taking less than a day for most moderately sized residential lots. It can also be done without the need for expensive equipment or prior experience, making it a job any homeowner can tackle.

• Concrete degreaser
• Concrete sealant
• Hand pump sprayer

     Apply the sealant within 24 hours of the stencil application. Pour the concrete sealant into the hand pump sprayer chamber. Secure the pump in the sprayer chamber and pump it up to increase the air pressure inside.

     Spray the sealant across the entire surface of the driveway. Allow the sealant to soak into the driveway’s surface. Plan on a coverage rate of between 250 to 300 square feet for each gallon of sealant applied. Allow the sealant to dry for three days.

     Spray a second coat of sealant onto the surface of the driveway to optimize the coverage.

     Do not walk on the stenciled driveway for 24 hours after sealing. Keep vehicles off the surface for 72 hours after sealing.
